Repeat Pattern Design Workshop
After years of teaching workshops (five years in fact, yikes have I been in London that long?) and receiving a lot of questions about how to design patterns during those classes and in countless emails I have finally put together a repeat pattern design class!
I have partnered up with illustrator Emma Block and we are both so excited to share our skills and knowledge with you. There are now only 5 tickets left so you better book quick. They're all gone!
Emma and I will guide you through every single step and process involved in pattern design from colour theory, motif and illustration design, repeat styles and where to print your patterns onto fabric. You'll leave the class with all the information you'll ever need to know about repeating patterns and as a plus you don't need a computer!
I'm especially exited about running this workshop with Emma as I am a total fabric design nut. I studied Printed Textiles and Surface Design at university and after I graduated set up my homeware brand. Emma is an extremely talented illustrator who has been working with clients since she was sixteen.
You don't need to bring anything to the workshop, there will be a little goodie bag for each student, including a notebook and fancy pencil for your notes and designs. The class will be held in West Elm, in central London which is a beautiful and inspirational interiors store.
