SS 2018 Habitat Collection

After visiting Top Drawer last weekend I'm feeling really inspired to share new ideas and trends that I've been spotting recently. When I received Habitat's SS18 press release I knew that I had to blog about their new collections. I'm so happy to see many of the interiors styles that I love so much being represented on the high street.

I've noticed that this season

Habitat

are celebrating abstract prints (many of which include faces which I love), rattan and a mix of textures with regards to fabrics. I'm also really loving their colour palette of blue, baby pink and mustard as well as a lot of blonde scandi wood tones. I would happily see most of their new products in my home, which is very refreshing as I haven't felt so inspired by Habitat in a few years.

Their main design stories are:

"Rattan" - A favourite material due to its flexibility at creating interesting 3D forms, they've chosen Indonesian rattan for a series of new designs.

"Sweet LA" - Malibu glamour with a luxe, mismatched feel. Unvarnished woods sit alongside rattan and richly textured textiles.

"Figurative" - Inspired by the art of the 50’s and 60’s, Habitat have re-interpreted the human form across a series of textiles and ceramics.

I've chosen my favourite pieces from the collection as well as putting a little styling mood board together. There's quite a lot more to see so have a look at the

I love to mix pink and blue together. My living room and bedroom both have these two shades as the main pallet so I'm glad to see that these colours are still as trendy as ever. Rug £350, Chair £895, Cushions £25-£65.

It may freak some people out but this eye print cushion is so cool to me, I also love the fringed border. Eyes Cushion £60.

I love the combination of blonde wood mixed with a navy denim style fabric. I think this sofa looks hardwearing and very comfortable, win-win. Sofa £1,100 & Shelves £325.

Spring may be a little far off yet but it's always great to see fresh greenery in the home, this dappled sage coloured vase would be perfect for an Easter table. Plates £8-£10, vases £20-£30, mug £10, cutlery £95, table £595.

I've wanted those dining chairs for such a long time and I love them in the dark wood, they'd suit the Mid Century furniture in our flat pretty well too! Table £995, Bench £350, Chair £160

Rattan always looks so comfortable and I definitely wouldn't mind getting ready in the morning at this dressing table. The cleverly hidden shelves underneath would be very useful too. Dressing table and stool £295.
