Cosy Knits in Cornwall
Simon and I recently had a magical trip to Cornwall, I'll be writing all about it in my next post. Whilst we were there I wore a few cosy pieces from local Newquay brand
whom I love so much. The perfect companions for a staycation.
I have a hand knitted cream cable-knit cardigan which I wear to death so I knew it was time to pick up something similar. I love owning go-to pieces, it makes getting dressed so much easier!
has been my go-to cover up for most of the spring. It may be a bit old lady-ish but I just love cardigans and this slightly boxy style seems to go with everything.
For our day out in Padstow I paired it with some nay and white culottes and a classic Breton top, I really love to mix patterns together and it works especially well if you ensure that the colours are the same. Padstow was so busy as all the tourists were in town to celebrate the May Day holiday. Luckily Simon and I managed to find a quiet street away from the crowds to snap this photo.
I also packed our fluffy sheepskin slippers (Simon's are the
and I have the amazingly comfy
) which came in handy when ducking in and out of the hot tub. Yes, we had a hot tub and it was amazing. I'm so sad that we're not in Cornwall any longer, it was such a magical break.
So grateful to have my lovely bits from
to enjoy whilst on our mini-break, and I love that they were based just down the road from where Simon and I were staying. Now that's local fashion.
Anyway, more scoop on the holiday in the next post.
