My Classic Summer Style
2012 was the last time I remember London having a really beautiful, long, warm summer. This year has been even better (if not a little too hot) and I've realised that I was lacking in some comfortable summer in the city clothes. I'm a very classic dresser and I like to know that the items in my wardrobe will last. Taking that idea on board I've selected my favourite summer looks.
This outfit was kindly given to me from Boden, one of my absolute favourite shops. My mum dressed me in Boden from an early age and I have continued to love the brand since then. Thiswhite peasant top, wide leg cropped jeans and classic navy blue espadrille wedges make for a perfect summer outfit.
I've collected my favourite looks below, all the original images can be found on my fashion Pinterest board
I love the classic combination of Breton stripes, loafers and a straw basket. This simple outfit will never go out of style.
Linen or cotton high waisted trousers combined with a pair of simple sandals is a great day to night look. Sometimes in the Summer all I want to wear are loose dresses but trousers are a great smart option.
This super loose peasent blouse looks so comfortable and cool. Cheesecloth is the perfect fabric for warm weather, especially if you want to wear longer sleeves.
This outfit looks so french to me! I absolutely love accessorising with scarfs and this photo has incpired me to buy a long silk scarf to tie my hair up with.
Rachael Harrah is one of my favourite brands, she designs really classic natural linen shirts in a range of beautiful colours. This rusty pink one is a favourite of mine.
Button down skirts are my favourite style to wear, they're a little bit 90's but I also think that they're classic enough not to look too dated. I've still to find my "perfect" long brown button down skirt though!
Denim mini skirts, baskets and white blouses are another summer staple for me. You just can't go wrong with such a classic look. This combination looks effortless and just thrown together, a perfect weekend look.
Tone on tone especially in pale or natural colours looks so cool yet casual. This wide leg trouser and short sleeved shirt combo is perfect. I can definitely imagine wearing this out to dinner or coffee on a warm weekend!
