Mini Living Room Makeover with Crown

*Paid partnership with Crown

I’m so excited to share this blog post with you today, our living room is finally at a point where I think I’m happy with it. Although, I say that and change it again six months later! Paint really makes such a huge impact and the Crown easyclean® paint I used are 200 times tougher and more washable than standard matt emulsion, perfect for life with a toddler!

The Inspiration

I wanted pale and grown-up pink to add interest to the white walled living room

I’d spotted this stunning painted arch trend and I thought it looked like such a great way to add colour, depth, and interest to a room without much work. We have these two alcoves in our living room which made for the perfect place to try out this idea. The whole project only took me one evening to complete and it’s really transformed the room. Take a look!

Ps, if you love the colour it’s called Hare.

What do you think? Don’t those arches add so much style to the room? I think they’ve really brought out the architectural details, we’re so lucky to live in a beautiful Victorian flat and just like a lot of rented spaces, those white walls just made all the pretty old features fade into the background. I’m so happy with this room now. It’s really lovely to have a bit of colour on the walls, a beautiful grown up pink called Hare by Crown.

Also, I know I’m biased but looking at Peggy clapping in that photo makes me smile! She’s so sweet, except when she doesn’t like her dinner and sprays it everywhere! These two muted pink arches have added so much style to this room and the paint is perfect for busy and messy toddler life.

Peggy’s high chair sits in front of one of the new arches and sometimes we have days when her porridge or pasta ends up on the walls, is that just Peggy? Please tell me it’s not. It’s nice knowing that we can clean the walls down if needs be as Crown easyclean® has also been awarded the @mumsnet rated badge - 98% of 58 testers would recommend it to friends and family.

Will you be painting a room in your home this winter?
